The 60-day permit costs more and is checked more closely than the 30-day. Do not apply for the longer permit simply because it exists — a 60-day stay with a 10-day hotel booking reads badly.
Hotel booking for Dubai and Abu Dhabi
If your stay spans both emirates, the accommodation should show both. A single Dubai hotel for a two-week trip that includes Abu Dhabi day trips is fine, but a booking that ends three days before your return flight is not. The booking should cover every night between arrival and departure.
What immigration checks at arrival
Officers look at the permit, the passport, and the return booking, and they may ask where you are staying and who is meeting you. Having the hotel voucher and the return reservation on your phone, not buried in email, makes that exchange short.
Overstaying and the fine
UAE overstay fines accrue daily and can affect future entry. The permit has a fixed validity and a fixed stay period, and they are not the same thing — the permit must be used within its validity window, and the stay period starts on entry. Check both dates before you book flights, because the reservation has to fall inside them.
